Pizza is one of our comfort foods. I like pizza especially if it’s cooked through wood-fired oven and less toppings. We’ve been going to Life of Pie at N Williams Ave. and it never disappoints. This is one of the best pizza here in Portland. The place is spacious and well-ventilated. They also have seats available outside which is very nice during spring, summer. The staffs are very nice and courteous. The place can be very busy in the afternoon but the queue is worth it. You have to order first before reserving a seat. Menus available at the counter.
We usually go there during summer. My parents visited us from the Philippines and we brought them to Life of Pie and they loved it. My mom is not also a fan of fancy pizzas with lots of toppings. Like me, she just enjoys the simple ones. Our favorite pizza is the Margherita with Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil ($10). No toppings works best for me. We also get the Fennel Sausage & Mamas Lil’s Peppers ($12), a little spicy and my husband likes it. The charred portion of the crust of wood-fired cooked pizza tastes really good.
They are open daily from 11am to 10pm. Happy hour starts at 11am until 6pm. The margherita pizza is only $5! There is also an option to build your own pizza if you feel like you want something else aside from the pizzas listed in the menu. They also serve salads. If you’re at work and want this pizza for lunch, you can order ahead through online and just pick it up.
I highly recommend this pizza place. Drop by here if you’re visiting Portland!
