Such a nice weather today so we decided to go to Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. We woke up late so we ended up leaving before noon. Traffic was bad and it took us about an hour to get there. There is an entrance fee of $5.00 per person 13 years old and above. They have a big parking space to accommodate huge number of visitors. I remember the last time we went here 4 years ago it was not this busy and crowded.

After we found a parking spot, we started our walk to the tulip field. The field is huge and the pathways are spacious enough. They also have acoustic show there which was nice. The tulips are so beautiful. Most of them already in full bloom. No picking of flowers allowed but I saw some visitors who still did it which was kind of annoying. My favorite are the dark purle ones which they called “Queen of Night” and also the white with red streaks, “Happy Generation”.

Aren’t they pretty? Here’s some more!

After almost an hour and a half of picture taking and walking, we decided to grab our late lunch. The area was a bit crowded too. Lucky for us, we were able to find seats in less than 5 minutes. We got some European sausages and curly fries. They also have elephant ears, soft pretzels, shaved ice, etc. After lunch, we went straight to the kids play area. You have to purchase tickets for the rides. They have zip lines, pony rides, painting class, wooden shoe demonstration and a lot more.Oh and they have hot air balloon on weekends only until April 29 in the morning only.

The place is kid and pet friendly. We forgot to bring my son’s stroller or his wagon but he walked for the most part of the day. They extended the Tulip Festival until May 6th and they are open from 9-6pm daily.
