First of all, Happy Mother’s day to my fellow moms out there!
It’s been 2 years since I became a mom and it was one of the best thing that had ever happened to me. Another chapter in my life that will carry on for the rest of my life. Being a mom is hard but is definitely fulfilling. You get to see yourself evolve to a different person who you thought you are not capable of.
Motherhood is a journey through life, it is never ending. I am glad I am able to experience this and just the joy that my toddler brings into our lives is incomparable. There are lots of things that motherhood has taught me one of those is I became more patient. I didn’t know I have a really long patience until my son turns 2. You know what they say, “terrible twos”. He definitely challenges my patience sometimes. lol Second once is can see through his eyes. I mean, every time I look on to my child’s eyes, I see vulnerability. This taught me to become braver mom and I just want to protect him and guide him no matter what life throws at us. Third, motherhood taught me to appreciate the little things more. My toddler loves the simple things and these make him smile and laugh. The things that we want to provide for our son doesn’t need to be expensive or extravagant, it needs to be simple and yet has a meaning to him. I’d definitely day that motherhood completes me as a woman.
What motherhood has taught you?
